Description
The railings, gates, and piers to Kingsland date from 1840 and are located on the street frontage. They feature rendered piers and dwarf walls, along with cast iron railings and gates. There are a pair of square piers, one of which is shared with the adjoining premises, measuring approximately 600 millimeters square and standing 2.5 meters high with pyramidal capping, sunk moulded panels, and a plinth. These piers are linked by a raking dwarf wall that is about 1 meter high and supports cast iron railings reaching a height of approximately 1 meter. Centrally, there are cast iron gates attached to cast iron standards, designed with a shaped top to accommodate a change in level, and featuring dog bars. This structure is important to the overall ensemble.
