Description

York House is a house in a row, built in the mid-19th century. It features a smooth rendered front with a rubble return and a slate roof. The building stands three storeys tall and has two wide-spaced windows with 4-pane sash designs. The ground floor on the right includes a square bay with a low-pitched hipped lead roof, cornice, and consoles, which supports a tripartite sash window with narrow single sash returns and a horizontal glazing bar. To the left, off centre, there are four steps leading up to a 6-paned flush door with a 2-pane overlight and a cantilevered canopy. A brick stack is located on the right side of the house.
