Description

No. 7 Brownston Street is a house in a row, dating from the late 18th century or early 19th century, with a possibly older interior. The exterior features smooth render and an asbestos-cement slate roof. The building is two storeys high and has one window. It includes a canted flat-roofed bay with plain glass casement windows beneath a triple arrangement of 4:12:4-pane sash windows set on a stone cill. To the left, there is a 20th-century studded door framed by a plain pilaster surround, which is topped with heavy consoles and a cornice. The small plinth is superficially similar to that of No. 6 but has a steeper roof and is independent from it.
