Description

Orchard Cottage is a house built around the 1840s. It has a cement-rendered exterior and a natural slate roof with gabled ends featuring crested ridge tiles. The house has stacks with rendered shafts and old pots. It is a single-depth main range that is two rooms wide and stands two storeys tall. The eaves board and moulded cornice are supported by paired brackets. The front of the house is symmetrical with three windows. There is a panelled front door with upper glazed panels, and a lean-to porch with a slated roof. The ground floor has two 12-pane hornless sash windows, and there are three similar windows on the first floor, all equipped with louvred sun shutters. The interior has not been inspected.
