Description

The linhay located 12 metres east of Hayne Barton Farmhouse dates from the mid to late 19th century. It is constructed of cob on stone footings, with a machine-cut pine structure and a slate roof. The building has an L-shaped design, featuring a north-facing wing that consists of five bays with a pitched roof. This roof extends over the farm entry to the left, resting against the wall of the eastern barn. The east-facing wing also has five bays and adjoins the rear wall of the stables. The structure is box-framed and is tied into the rear cob wall, with open bays at the front on each floor and a king-post roof. This linhay is part of a planned single-phase farmyard and is included for its group value.
