NEWTON ST CYRES Linhay 12 metres east of Hayne Barton Farmhouse

GV II

Linhay - mid-late C19. Cob on stone footings; machine cut pine structure; slate roof. L-shaped building. North-facing wing of five bays with pitched roof continued over farm entry to left to rest against wall of eastern barn (q.v.). East-facing wing of 5 bays adjoining rear wall of stables. Box-framed structure tied into rear cob wall with open bays to front on each floor and king-post roof. Component of planned single-phase farmyard. Included for group value.
