Description

This linhay, located about 30 metres southeast of Place Barton, is probably from the late 18th century. It is constructed of stone rubble and features a bitumen-painted slate roof that is half-hipped at both ends. The linhay has an 8-bay design that runs perpendicular to the barn and faces the main entrance to the farmyard south of Place Barton. The structure is lofted, with the bays separated by round stone rubble piers. Originally open-fronted, the bays have since been filled in below the loft. This linhay has group value with other listed items at Place Barton.
