Description

Lavender Cottage is a 17th-century cottage located in Grafton Marten. It features a timber frame with colourwashed brick noggings and a thatched roof. The building is single-storey with an attic and consists of two to three bays. The entrance is located in the right bay, accessed through a boarded door that is sheltered by a thatched canopy. The framing consists of three panels high, and there are leaded windows throughout. A stack is positioned between the second and third bays, and the roof is hipped, extending over a left end extension. At the rear, there is a lean-to. Inside, the cottage has chamfered ceiling beams, exposed joists, and a chamfered fireplace beam.
