Description
Vine Cottage is a 17th-century cottage located on Stert Mill Lane. It is timber framed with colourwashed brick noggings and features a thatched roof. The building is a single storey with an attic and consists of two bays, with a lean-to at the west end. The framing has three panels high, straight corner braces, and an oversailing wall plate that is chamfered, with the timbers numbered from the east. The south front was largely rebuilt in the 1970s and includes a porch on the left bay that contains the entrance and 20th-century windows. The north side has two flush paned dormers and gable stacks. The interior has not been seen but is said to include an inglenook.
