Description
Crookwood Mill Farmhouse is a farmhouse dating from the 17th century and late 18th century. It features a timber frame that has been partly rebuilt in brick and is now colourwashed. The roof is thatched. The building has two storeys and consists of 2½ bays with a cross wing extending beyond a major stack, forming an 'L' shape. The framing is limited to the central bay, with outer posts only in the right bay. It has four panels high with corner braces. The entrance is located in a 20th-century lean-to at the front of the wing. There are various timber windows. The roof is hipped and includes a brick stack along with two additional stacks. The farmhouse is noted as newly built in 1677 in historical deeds.
