Description
Crookwood Farmhouse is a farmhouse dating from the early 18th century, with additions from the late 18th to early 19th centuries. It is constructed of diaper brick and features a long straw thatch roof. The central part of the building has two bays, with two wider bays added to the left in English bond, which includes a porch. To the right, there is an 'L'-shaped wing, likely from the early 19th century. The entrance features a half-glazed door set within an open timber-framed porch topped with a tiled roof. The windows are 19th-century timber casements. The rear wall has no windows, but there is a single window in the right extension. Additionally, there is a pantiled lean-to covered way over a secondary entrance in the right extension. At the back of the property, there are earthwork remains of a mill. The thatch on the roof is sourced from the farm itself.
