Description
This barn, located to the north-west of Oatridge Farmhouse, dates from the late 17th century and has some alterations from the late 19th century. It is constructed of coursed rubble with timber lintels and features a gabled stone slate roof. The barn has a long nine-bay range, with a pigsty lean-to on the south-west side and a flush entrance on the south side. The entrance has two-leaf plank doors and a lean-to porch supported by timber braces. There are pigeon holes under the east gable, with a doorway below them. Inside, the barn has a butt-purlin, collar, and tie-beam roof structure, with some rafters having been renewed.
