Description

This is a barn located to the south-west of Bradfield Manor Farmhouse, dating from the 18th century, with alterations made in the 19th and 20th centuries. The structure is built of coursed rubble, featuring flush rusticated dressed stone quoins, wooden lintels, and a gabled roof covered with corrugated asbestos. The barn has an L-shaped plan, consisting of a 7-bay barn with a projecting stable range on the left side. There is a cart entrance on the right side next to a doorway, and a decayed midstrey on the left side. The west facade shows a lean-to roof made of corrugated iron over the midstrey. The stable range includes plank gates and a plank door leading to the loft. Inside, the barn features a simple butt-purlin collar and tie-beam roof structure.
