Description

The barn at Court Farm is a 17th-century structure built from coursed rubble, featuring squared dressed stone jambs at the west midstrey, wooden lintels, and plank doors and gates. It has stone slate roofs and consists of an 11-bay range that gives the appearance of two separate barns. The south front has two midstreys, both with half-hipped roofs. The right-hand midstry includes an oculus and pigeon holes surrounded by brick under the hip, along with a lean-to stone slate porch. To the left of the left-hand midstry, there is a shelter shed supported by circular stone piers, and a further outshut is located to the right of the right-hand midstry. Inside, the barn retains its original through-purlin collar and tie-beam roof structure.
