Description
This barn, located to the south of Manor Farmhouse, dates from the late 18th century and has some 20th-century additions. It is built of coursed rubble with squared dressed stone around the midstrey jambs and features a stone slate roof that is half-hipped at the east end and gabled to the west, complete with ashlar coping and a saddle at the apex. The west gable also has weatherboarding. The barn is a five-bay structure with a central north midstrey and a south flush opening, which includes two-leaf plank doors. There is an attached shelter shed at the west end, which has a gabled stone slate roof supported by wooden piers. Additionally, there are 20th-century lean-to additions at the northeast corner. Inside, the barn retains its original butt-purlin, collar, and tie-beam roof structure.
