Description
This is a barn located to the north of Chink Farmhouse, dating from the late 18th century or early 19th century. It features weatherboard cladding over a timber frame set on a brick plinth, and has a half-hipped corrugated iron roof. The barn has a four-bay plan with an off-centre threshing floor. Inside, it includes vertical studs with downward wall braces in the wall frame, jowled wall posts with arch bracing supporting the tie beams, and a collar-truss roof with in-line tenoned purlins, side struts, diagonal windbracing, and a diagonally-set ridge piece.
