TL 70 NW 9/66 East Barn at Old Lodge Farm II GV

Barn. Dated 1802. Weatherboard over timber frame set on brick plinth; half-hipped slate roof. 5-bay plan with central threshing floor. Hipped midstrey flanked by outshuts with C20 door to right and C19 plank door with strap hinges to granary on left; inserted C20 entry to right gable end. Interior; primary-braced construction of light scantling, with unjowled storey posts, arched bracing to tie beams flanking threshing floor and bolted knees to outer bays; collar-truss roof with staggered butt purlins, and queen posts flanking threshing floor.
