Description
Park Farmhouse is a farmhouse with a late 17th-century core and an 18th-century addition, originally listed as 'Oaksey Park Hotel' and Park Farmhouse. The original part of the house is built of coursed rubble, while the 18th-century block is of squared and coursed rubble with flush rusticated dressed stone quoins. Both have stone slate roofs, and the 18th-century block has gabled ends with ashlar stacks. The house comprises two parallel 18th-century ranges with a rear, L-shaped 17th-century range.
The main 18th-century block is two storeys and has attics, featuring scattered 12-pane sash windows. A single 2-light casement window is located next to a datestone that reads "A/B/A/1764," positioned below the eaves where the two roof slopes meet. A long 18-pane window is on the west wall above the door, and there is a hipped dormer. A doorway has a flat hood supported by stone brackets, leading to a glazed door on the west side wall.
The lower 17th-century range has an east-facing lean-to loggia with wooden posts and a moulded oak architrave around the central doorway, which features a plank door.
