Description

Braydon Brook Farmhouse is a farmhouse dating from the late 18th century, with some alterations made in the 19th century. It is constructed of squared and coursed rubble, featuring wooden lintels and a stone slate roof, with a brick stack at the right end. The building has an L-shaped plan that includes rear farm buildings. It is two storeys high with an attic and has a three-window south front. The windows are three-light small leaded pane casements, and there are two hipped dormers. The central doorway is framed by a pedimented wooden porch supported by circular columns, and it has a six-panel door with the top two lights glazed. To the left of the farmhouse is an attached farm building that has a sprocketed hipped roof, a plank door, and a large multi-pane window.
