Description

The White family monument is a chest tomb located in the churchyard of the Church of the Holy Cross, positioned close to the south porch. It dates from 1744 and is made of limestone, surrounded by wrought iron railings. The tomb features gadrooned angle balusters and coved panels on either side, with incised Roman and italic lettering on the south side only. It has a chamfered base and slab, which includes an inscribed copper plaque. The enclosure is defined by simple lance railings.
