Description
The Old Vicarage is a former vicarage that has been converted into a detached house, built around 1850. The structure features squared and coursed rubble with ashlar dressings and copings, topped with Welsh slate roofs. It has paired ashlar stacks set diagonally, with some located laterally and others along the ridge. The building has a cruciform plan, consisting of two storeys and attics, with gabled ends on each wing. The windows are designed with 2 and 3-light chamfered cross-mullions, complete with hoodmoulds and casements. The south wing includes a canted bay with French windows, while the west facade features a porch with Tudor-arched openings and a glazed and panelled door. Additional architectural details include moulded string courses, flush rusticated quoins, and stepped copings with kneelers and openwork apex finials on the gables. There is also an attached stable range from the same period located to the north-west. Inside, the ground floor study contains contemporary bookcases and a slate fireplace.
