Description
12 and 13 Park Street are two row cottages built in the mid-18th century. They are constructed of coursed rubble and feature wooden and concrete lintels, stone dressings on the porches, and stone slate roofs with stone stacks topped with brick caps. The cottages have an L-shaped plan, with No 12 located at the rear and No 13 running parallel to the road. The south front of No 13 has two storeys and an attic, with four windows. The windows are a mix of two and three-light casements, and there are four hipped dormers with two-light casements. At the junction where the two cottages meet, there are two segmental-headed porches; the right porch is now glazed, while the left porch has a 19th-century studded plank and batten door. A large lateral stack is positioned on the west end wall. No 12, located at the rear, features 20th-century windows, including a large dormer and a part-glazed door. The property is enclosed by low dressed stone boundary walls with square gate piers.
