6/41 Gate Piers and Gates to Charlton Park

GV II

Park entrance gate piers and gates. Early C19. Ashlar piers and wrought iron gates. Two carriage drive gate piers 2.5 metres in height flanked by pedestrian gate piers of 2 metres in height: 4 piers in all. Moulded bases, raised panels on east face of carriage piers only, scroll-topped gate jamb and pedimented caps. Spear railings to all gates, those to carriage drive with ramped overthrow.
