Description

Latchers is a detached house likely dating to the 15th century, with alterations made in the early 17th century. It is built of coursed rubble with flush rusticated dressed stone quoins, stone dressings, and a gabled roof covered in stone slates. A single west end stone stack is also present. The north front is single-storey with an attic, displaying a two-window façade. The windows include a three-light chamfered mullion with a hoodmould, flush relieving arch, and two-pane casements on the ground floor to the right, a similar two-light mullion to the left, and a further two-light mullion beneath the gable to the attic. A plank door is located in an extension to the right. The south front features an additional gable with mullioned windows, and a large 20th-century casement with a plank door to the right.
