Description

2, Marsh Road is a former wharfhouse dating from the early 19th century. The building has two storeys and is constructed from coursed and dressed rubble. It features a symmetrical arrangement of windows on the south side, with two windows on the upper floor and two on the lower floor. The windows have timber lintels, except for the left ground floor window, which has a segmental arched lintel, and the right ground floor window, which has a large lintel shared with two now blocked openings. The roof is covered with double roman tiles. Kennet Cottage, No. 2, and Nos 1 and 3 form a group with the Kings Arms on Wyke Road.
