Description

Kennet Cottage is an early 19th-century building that stands two storeys high with an attic. It is constructed of coursed and dressed rubble. The front features three windows on the first floor and a double roman tile roof, which has two chimneys at the gable ends and an attic that is lit by a gable window. The windows have been altered and include glazing bars. There is a central doorway that has brackets supporting a moulded hood, but it features a modern door. The cottage has modern extensions added to the rear and to the right. Kennet Cottage, along with No. 2 and Nos 1 and 3, forms a group with the Kings Arms on Wyke Road.
