Description
Two cottages, numbered 18 and 19, stand in a row at a right angle to the road in Wootton Rivers. The buildings date to the 17th and 18th centuries. Number 18, located on the left, is timber-framed with whitewashed brick noggings and roughcast on the gable. Number 19 likely has diaper brickwork which originally clad a timber frame. Both cottages share a common thatched roof. Number 18 has a brick service wing at the front with an entrance door. The front paneling rises two panels high and sits on a brick sill. The center section of the roof has been raised as a flush dormer. The windows are timber casements. Number 19 is two storeys high, with a glazed door and casement windows. A central chimney stack is present, and the roof is hipped.
