Description

Picketts Cottage comprises two cottages built at right angles to the road, dating from the 18th century. The cottages are constructed of brick and have a thatched roof. Each cottage is two storeys high and consists of two structural bays. The left end appears to be a later addition, possibly built upon an existing outbuilding. A boarded door is located on the left, sheltered by a thatched canopy supported by reset columns. A further door is situated in a lean-to porch to the right. The windows are timber casements, of varying types. The right end of the building has been extended or rebuilt and features a gable stack. A Union fire mark is affixed to the exterior of No. 2.
