Description

This milestone, located on Hungerford Road, dates from around 1815. It is made of whitewashed limestone and features a half cylindrical shaft with a grooved top. The base is not visible. The original inscription is now illegible and has been overpainted to read: "TO SWINDON, 10, TO HUNGERFORD 6."
