Description

This is a chest tomb from the late 18th century, located about 10 metres south of the north gates to the churchyard of the Church of St. Michael in Melksham. It is made of limestone and features a plinth with two round-headed fielded panels on the main sides, which are separated by carved drapery. The corners of the tomb have a corniced flat top. The inscriptions on the tomb are not legible.
