Description

This is a chest tomb located about 25 metres north of the chancel of the Church of St. Michael in Melksham. It dates from the late 18th century and is made of limestone. The tomb features two oval fielded panels that are separated by pilasters on either side, along with corner pilasters. It has a plinth, a pulvinated frieze, and a corniced and bevelled top. The inscriptions on the tomb are not legible.
