Description
This is a late 18th-century chest tomb located in the churchyard about 8 metres west of the tower of the Church of St. Michael in Melksham. It is made of limestone and features two rectangular fielded panels on the main sides. The central panel is adorned with carved foliage and balusters, with quarter balusters at the corners. The tomb also has a grooved frieze and a cornice on its flat top. Unfortunately, the inscriptions on the tomb are not legible.
