Description
No 3 Canon Square is a house dating from the early to late 18th century. It features painted ashlar and a stone slate roof. The building has two storeys and two windows. The Gothick facade includes a six-panelled door on the left and a three-light chamfered mullioned window with four-centred arch lights on the right. There is a plat band at the first floor level and pilasters on both floors. The first floor pilasters curve into a four-centred arch above one three-light mullioned window with arched lights. The windows are fitted with lattice leaded glass.
The left side of the building is constructed from rubblestone and has two storeys plus an attic, with three windows. There is a blocked door and a door with a chamfered case on the right, along with two two-light cyma mullioned windows on the ground floor. Above these are three three-light cyma mullioned windows. The rear of the house features three Gothick pointed windows with pointed glazing bars on the first floor and one pointed window in the attic gable. The interior has not been inspected.
