Description

This is an early 19th-century chest tomb located in the churchyard about 11 metres east of the east end of the Church of St. Michael in Melksham. It is made of limestone and features a plinth with fielded panels on the sides and ends, narrow fielded pilasters at the corners, a cornice, and a pulvinated frieze on the flat top. The inscriptions on the tomb are not legible.
