Description

The Hutton Memorial is a chest tomb located against the east end of the Church of St. Michael in Melksham. It dates from the early 19th century but is designed in an 18th-century style. The tomb is made of limestone and features two panels on the sides that are separated by carved drapery. It has quarter balusters at the corners, a plinth, a grooved frieze, and a moulded cornice. The memorial commemorates Mary Hutton, who died in 1806.
