Description

This milestone, located approximately 200 meters east of Manor Farm, dates from the late 18th century. It is made of limestone and features a hexagonal pillar with two faces on the front. The inscriptions read "To / Sarum / XI" and "To / Shaston / IX." The road it marks, from Salisbury to Shaftesbury, was turnpiked between 1787 and 1788.
