Description
Fovant Elm is a detached cottage dating from the 17th century, with alterations made around 1800 and in the 20th century. The building is constructed of dressed limestone and features a concrete tiled roof with coped verges and gable end rendered stacks. It is two stories high and has two windows. The central entrance consists of a six-panelled door set within a 20th-century porch, with a 12-pane tripartite sash window on either side. On the first floor, there are two 9-pane tripartite sash windows. The right side of the cottage has a two-light recessed chamfered mullioned casement window on the first floor. At the rear, there is a two-storey extension from the 20th century that is not of special interest. The interior is said to feature an open fireplace.
