Description
Longs Farmhouse is a farmhouse dating from the mid-17th century, with an added bay from the 18th century. It is constructed of rubble stone and cob, topped with a thatched roof and features brick stacks. The building is single storey with an attic and has three windows. There is a 20th-century door to the left of the center, a planked door to the right within a 20th-century glazed porch, and a 3-light leaded casement window to the left. To the right, there are two 2-light casements. The attic has three eyebrow dormers, each with either 3-light leaded or plain casements. The right side has 2-light 20th-century casements, while the left side features an attached weatherboarded shed with a planked door and a pantiled roof. At the rear, there are two 2-light casements, a 20th-century conservatory, and three eyebrow dormers with 2-light casements in the attic.
Inside, the farmhouse has a deep chamfered beam with run-out stops and another beam with stepped stops. The open fireplace at the west end has a chamfered lintel with run-out stops set on stone jambs, while there is a blocked open fireplace to the east.
