Description

This milestone, located 300 meters east of the A4361 junction in Broad Hinton, dates from the late 18th century. It is made of painted stone and features a half-cylindrical shaft with a grooved top. The incised legends, which have been overpainted, read "TO WOOTTON BASSETT 5 MILES" on the left and "TO MARLBRO 7 MILES" on the right.
