Description

The ice and root houses at Broad Hinton House are conjoined structures from the early 19th century. They are built of brick and feature a brick vault, with the ice house now covered by a 20th-century rockery. Both buildings are rectangular in shape and semi-underground. The root house contains timber shelves and is still used for its original purpose.
