Description

SU 17 NW BROAD HINTON VILLAGE CENTRE (north end) 2/7 Broad Hinton Primary School II Church school. 1864. Limestone ashlar with asbestos slate roof. C20 brick extension with concrete tilehanging. Two classrooms at right angles, with third to right of projecting porch. Entrance through open porch with buttresses and belltower of 4 buttresses supporting spire over open bell. Carved angel corbel below front buttress. Two and 3-light arch-headed windows, one with stone transom and dedication tablet over window to right gable. Label mouldings over and raised end gables. Stack to right classroom with flying buttress back to main range. A picturesque design. C20 extension at left with secondary entrance. Interior ceiled in.
