Description

The milestone north of Wootton Fields Farm is an early 19th-century structure made of limestone. The head of the milestone is damaged, and it has a half-oval shaft that returns to a square shape underground. At the time of inspection in August 1984, it was uprooted. The inscription, which is partially overpainted, reads "To WOOTTON BASSETT 1 Mile" on the left and "To MARLBRO 11 Miles" on the right.
