Description

Upper Noremarsh Farmhouse is an 18th-century farmhouse that was rebuilt around 1830 after a fire, with late 19th-century extensions. The building is constructed of brick, rendered to resemble ashlar, with quoins. There is a brick extension on the right side and a return towards the road, which includes a coachhouse topped with a weathercock and a gable oculus. The farmhouse is two stories high and has three bays, featuring a central stair hall with reception rooms on either side. At the back, there are two conjoined wings at right angles, each with side stacks. The main block has stacks in the gable and axial to the central bay. The entrance features a central six-panelled door, with the upper panels glazed. The windows are margin glazed sashes, while the extensions have casements. There is also a further hipped extension towards the road, which is now used as a garage.
