Description

This is an 18th-century house that was remodelled in the 19th century. It is constructed of stone with a brick facade, stone dressings and string course, and a rendered plinth. The roof is covered in concrete tiles, with two gabled dormers, and has gable stacks. The rear wing has tile and stone slates. The house is two storeys high, with an attic and cellars.

The interior features a central entrance hall with reception rooms on either side. An extensive rear range includes a steep-gabled side porch and an upper-floor window with traceried detail. There is also a coach house, now a garage. The front door is a four-panelled door, raised three steps, with glazed upper panels and a half-round fanlight above. It is sheltered by a slender, round stone canopy supported by consoles. Canted stone bay windows have a trefoil pierced parapet and metal casement windows. On the first floor, there are three margin-glazed sash windows with gauged brick arches and a stone key.
