Description

No 52 and 52A on High Street is a house that was once a shop, built in the early 19th century. It is constructed of stone and features a stone-slated roof with two hipped dormers. The building has two storeys and an attic, with a rear wall stack. The front has five bays, showcasing early 19th-century windows, including a bow window with reeded pilasters and a later canted bay on the right. The entrance features a moulded three-panel door set in a panelled reveal. The upper windows are 12-pane sashes with segmental brick heads. Note that during renovations in August 1984, three windows were removed.
