Description
The barn at Bremhill Field Farm, located about 40 meters east of Hill Farmhouse, is a building that dates back to possibly the 15th century or earlier. It features a timber-frame structure that is clad in weatherboard and topped with a corrugated iron roof. The barn has a gabled cart entry on the north side and consists of a four-bay interior, with the end bays likely being added or rebuilt. The two main bays are supported by full cruck trusses that form a double purlin roof. The first cruck truss on the west side has a single collar, the second has both a main collar and an upper collar, while the third truss has a collar but its upper part has been destroyed. This third truss shows signs of having once been part of the end wall. The added end bays were originally half-hipped.
