Description

A pair of estate houses, dating from 1873, stand on the south side of Bremhill Village. They are constructed of squared rubble stone with brick dressings and a roof covered in Bridgwater tiles, featuring a ridge stack and a west end stack. The houses are arranged over one and a half storeys with a projecting cross wing to the left. The cross wing has small-paned casement windows on both floors, and a central entrance door flanked by casement windows on the east side. First-floor casement pairs break the eaves under dormer gables. A gabled timber porch shelters the entrance. A similar range extends to the front, to the right of the cross wing, with two dormer gables. The ground floor features a door within a gabled timber porch, alongside a triple casement window to the left and a casement pair to the right. The houses include brick quoins, door and window surrounds, with the windows featuring nogged brick lintels under brick voussoirs. The porches are distinguished by curved timber brackets and decorative tiling.
