Description
Nos. 35 and 36 are a pair of estate houses from the Bowood estate, built in 1872. They are constructed from squared rubble stone and feature a Bridgwater tile eaves roof with a central ridge stack. The houses are one and a half storeys tall and have a symmetrical four-window facade, with projecting cross wings at each end. There are two dormer gables in the center above a plain-tiled verandah supported by four posts. Each house has two doors, and the windows are pairs of casements with ashlar surrounds. The gable ends of the cross wings also have hoodmoulds. A date plaque is located at the center of the first floor. The cross wings include side-wall stacks. These houses are included for their group value.
