Description

No. 21 is a pair of cottages from the Bowood estate, now combined into one, built in 1874. The structure is made of squared ironstone rubble with brick dressings and features a Bridgwater tile eaves roof with brick end stacks. It has one and a half storeys and a three-window range, with three gabled dormers above pairs of casement windows. On the ground floor, there is a triple casement window on each side of a former pair of doors, one of which is now blocked. These are set within a banded-tiled half-hipped lean-to porch supported by two timber posts. The building has brick angles and surrounds for the doors and windows, with all windows featuring nogged brick decorative lintels beneath brick voussoirs. There is a 20th-century garage to the left.
