Description

Fern Cottage is a detached cottage dating from the mid-17th century. It features square-panelled timber-framing with brick nogging and dressed limestone on the left return. The cottage has a thatched roof with gable end brick stacks. It is a single-storey building with an attic and has two windows. The ground floor includes a 20th-century two-light casement window and a single-light casement window, while the attic has two eyebrow dormers with 2-light casements. The entrance is located on the left return and has a 20th-century planked door. The interior has not been inspected.
