Description

Cross Cottage is a detached house dating to circa 1800. The front is constructed of dressed limestone, with rendered returns, and a concrete tiled hip roof, featuring yellow brick stacks. The two-storey house has a three-window facade facing the west end of the Church of St. Martin. A central six-panelled door sits within a trellised porch, flanked by twelve-pane flush sash windows. The first floor has three twelve-pane sashes. A 20th-century casement window is present on the right return, at first-floor level. The rear of the cottage features two-light casements. The interior is reported to contain a reeded fireplace surround with paterae.
